Ok (deep breath!) - the much talked about blog begins!
Meet Dot! She is about to embark on a massive adventure!! She's not entirely sure that she's ready, but regardless in less than 2 hours she's going to leave 14 Studland Street to Heathrow Terminal 5 - first stop Mumbai!!
Over the ensuing 65 days she will explore India, Tibet and Nepal, and after a brief intermission back in Londontown at Hotel d'Bromy, she'll then be off to get her groove on in South America to check out Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, and Brazil! She'll then check back in to d'Bromy for about a week before joining her Dad for the final chapter, Paris and Micam - Milan's Shoe Fair, after which she will be settling in her native NZ!
Dot is going to miss her Londontown friends terribly, and is scared half to death that she is about to travel solo for 5.5 months, but is hoping her ruby red slipper self will carry her shaky Bambi legs and far too heavy pack and somehow produce the trip of a lifetime! She's terrified - but incredibly excited!!
She is on a mission to be the subject of (hopefully!) increasingly good photography, posing around the world and sharing her experiences. She hopes that you enjoy her blog, and that you will keep in contact regularly.
Dot is now crying but happy, and hugely proud and grateful for her wonderful friends and family that have helped her so much along the way! Her time in Londontown has come to an end, and she thanks everyone for the amazing times and the memories. She does know what she would do and who she would be without these wonderful people in her life!
So for now it's adios, auf wiedersehn, hasta luego and farewell! I love you all so much!
It's been a blast!! Bon Voyage!!
